We are ready to download our 60 plus members of Redmond (OR) Time Traders and stopped when we saw the instruction to remove all email addresses from members who are not yet on the Community Weaver site.
Is that really essential and why? Seems it could be done more easily on the receiving end. We want to get this right! Also given a notice of problems with AOL and MSN addresses, should we advise everyone to get a gmail account before going online?

We use the email address to match members who are already online in your Time Bank. Without this, all members who have an email address in your database but do not have a matching record online will be dropped. This is critical as email address is the login to Community Weaver.

Before you make any changes to your TimeKeeper database, make a backup copy so that you can revert to it later. Make the changes as required for the import and then send your database to us.

Switching over to gmail would be a good thing to do at this time, yes.
