| Hello,
If you have any past reports of local Timebank and member's news from newspaper or magazine articles, would you kindly scan the article into a digital file, PDF, so that we could share the good news and use the documentation for marketing in our local efforts. Perhaps Coordinators will use this thread and add articles as they are released. It could prove to be a neat history down the road. Please include a URL so we can download the file. Thanks and Cheers, Tony Budak NE Ohio |

| Hi Tony and All! I don't know how to upload a document here in the forum (not sure if we can), but the Lynn Time Bank article which ran in the Boston Globe last year can be downloaded from our website www.lynntimebank.org under the "news" tab. You should be able to "save as" the document into your own computer. Sincerely, Barbara | ||

| Hi, everyone-
Please post links to articles and news under the "Announcements and Articles About Your Time Bank" section of the forums. I have compiled a bunch of articles and links to news stories that can be downloaded and printed for your use. Here's a quick link: http://forums.timebanks.org/viewforum.php?f=12 Check out the "Archived Articles" first - I try to collect the stories from individual posts there, so that you don't have to look through all of them to find what you need. | Hi Jenn,
Thanks for cluing me to the archive of a “bunch of articles and links to news stories that can be downloaded and printed for your use.” But let me clarify my request. My request was for items to provide free to the public on outreach table displays. In my opinion, a scanned copy of a scissors clipped newspaper article with the paper’s banner and date is far more creditable then a print out of a web page article. I think that half of those links are to videos, which work fine for internet use, but not to reach people face to face. Call me provincial or old school, but I’d guess that people are more likely to pick up and read scanned hard copy newspaper clipped material and give it more meaning. Best Regards, Tony |

| I hear what you're saying! If coordinators would like TBUSA to take care of digitalizing news stories for them, simply fax the news article to us at 202-537-5033. I will scan it, convert it to .pdf, load it onto our website, and link to it from the archive I mentioned above.
If you have a website of your own, and want to house your news stories there, please post links to those articles in the archive that I mentioned above. Furthermore, TBUSA has tons of old news clipping here at our office. We would happily pay Time Dollars to anyone who would like to help us digitalize them! Thanks, Tony! |
