************

I'm starting a time bank called CurtainTime sponsored by a theater.
People can share all sorts of skills but a central focus will be
services to the theatre and "hours of performances."

When I showed the videos to my target group, they were very ho-hum.
Not because they didn't like the concept but because they do not see
themselves needing or wanting another social services agency.

The response was that we need something that shows how your life
works without this and how it works with this in terms of
professional people. One woman writes children's books and runs a non-
profit storytelling program for children. She wants to be able to say
"Yes, I'll read your manuscript and give you feedback and I'll get 2
hours of someone else fixing dinner for me. Right now everything is
going out and nothing is coming back because I don't have time to do
all these negotiations."

So she is writing a simple play in which people exchange services. We
may make it a game like telephone in which people go around the room
suggesting to each other what they can offer.
